Soft Wash Center
What is Soft Washing?
Soft washing is a cleaning method that utilizes high water volume and low pressure (less than garden hose pressure) washing technique along with a precisely measured mixture of cleaning agents and surfactants to safely rid surfaces of dirt, mold, mildew and algae stains.
What is the difference between Soft Washing and Pressure Washing?
Although soft washing and pressure washing seem similar they use different techniques, equipment, and cleaners. Pressure washing utilizes high pressure water spray up to 3000psi to remove dirt, mold, mildew and grime from hard surfaces. Soft washing utilizes water spray with approximately 200psi and cleans utilizing high water volume mixed with industry and surface specific cleaners. Soft washing should be used on surfaces that could easily be damaged if one were to use high pressure on them such as siding, trim, shingles, and any other softer surfaces.
Why Should you Soft Wash your Roof?
Gloeocapsa Magma (algae/mold) is common on roofs and leaves signature black streaks and stains all over your shingles. These organic black stains are not only unsightly but are growing and spreading via a root system that embeds into your shingles. These root systems damage and lift shingles which leads to water intrusion and rot. HydroPro’s Soft Wash technique eliminates all organic growth and removes the root systems that have grown in, around, and under your shingles and safely returns them to their original color.
